Community Charities

There’s a lot of great work happening on the front lines of Kern County, and there’s a lot more work left to do.

We are dedicated to making a meaningful difference in four key areas: Education and Leadership, Healthy Eating, Human Trafficking, and Purposeful Living. Our commitment is to support organizations that address the most pressing needs, inspiring hope and fostering a brighter future for our community.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

My nonprofit has not received its IRS Determination Letter

We require all applicants to be a registered and active 501(c)(3) organization in good standing. If we are unable to verify eligibility either through an IRS Determination Letter or the IRS Publication 78 listing, we are unable to process your request. Please apply once you have received the necessary documentation.

Are Educational Institutions eligible?

Yes, educational institutions are eligible to apply for grants, provided their project aligns with our foundation's focus areas: education and leadership, healthy eating, human trafficking, and purposeful living.

My grant request does not align with the listed focus areas.

Our foundation prioritizes projects that align with our four focus areas: education and leadership, healthy eating, human trafficking, and purposeful living. If your grant request does not align with these areas, it is unlikely to be considered for funding. We encourage you to review our focus areas carefully before applying.

Will my request be denied if the request is higher than the available award?

If the amount requested exceeds the available award, we may still consider your application, but it may be funded at a lower level.

If I am seeking funding for an event sponsorship, do I submit a grant request?

No, event sponsorship requests should be submitted through our Event Sponsorship Request Form.
